Now here! The Word Awards celebrate excellence in Christian writing across Canada, recognizing outstanding work in both fiction and nonfiction. The 2026 Shortlist highlights an inspiring range of writers and works, from emerging authors with their first unpublished manuscripts to established writers with years of published books, articles, and other work.
We invite you to explore the 2026 Word Awards Shortlist and discover the writers and stories that stood out to our judges. Congratulations to everyone whose work was recognized—it is a wonderful achievement to be included among Canada’s talented community of Christian writers.
And there’s more to come! Keep an eye out for the 2026 Word Awards Celebration, coming in October, as we celebrate another year of outstanding Canadian Christian writing.
