Need some time to get away and ReFocus on your writing? Like to reconnect with old friends and / or meet new ones?

After a two-year hiatus, Christian writers and editors are returning to the Guelph Bible Conference Centre for a relaxed, informal four day retreat designed for time to write and to network.

Theme

The theme for the ReFocus retreat this year is “Be Steadfast.“

The theme verse will be 1 Corinthians 15:58 – ”Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

Dates: Monday, November 7 to Thursday, November 10

ReFocus a largely self-directed retreat. There will be very few scheduled events, other than a devotional time both mornings and an open mic, movie night and/or campfire in the evenings. Most of the time will be free for people to write, read, interact with fellow writers, or just relax. There may also be opportunities to sit down with an editor or another writer to get feedback on your work.

Space – especially for those who want to stay on the grounds – is limited, and all rooms are double occupancy so the greatest number of people can attend. Register early if you want to ensure a room at the conference grounds. Otherwise there are many great hotels in Guelph and there will be more room for day-only registrants (price quoted includes all four days and meals from supper Monday to lunch Thursday)

Accommodation is in THE INN and each room has two double beds. Space is limited for overnight guests, but there is plenty of room for Day Guests.

.*** COVID information: please note that the Guelph Bible Conference Grounds no longer has regulations or guidelines pertaining to pandemic restrictions, other than the requirement to use hand sanitizer before meals in the dining room. Social distancing and masks will not be required, but retreat participants are welcome to adhere to both practices as needed or desired for your health or comfort level.
