About David
David Kitz is a Bible dramatist, an award winning author, a convention speaker and a retired public school teacher. For over twenty-five years, he has served as an ordained minister with the Foursquare Gospel Church of Canada.
David has a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies, in addition to Bachelor’s degrees in both Arts and Education. His love for drama and storytelling is evident to all who have seen his Bible based performances. For several years now, he has toured across Canada and into the United States with a variety of one man plays for both children and adults. Though born and raised in Saskatchewan, David now lives in Ottawa, with his wife Karen. They have two adult sons, Timothy and Joshua.
About Lloyd
For 50 years, Lloyd Mackey has been active in journalism and Christian newspaper development in community, and faith-based media. From 1998 to 2013, he was Ottawa-based, writing columns and books about the faith-political interface. He holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a DMin from Tyndale Seminary. In retirement, he is Senior Editorial Advisor to Faith in Canada 150, a Cardus initiative. He and his wife Edna, live in Surrey, BC. He is an honorary member of the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery and the Canadian Church Press, and a 2006 recipient of the Leslie K. Tarr Award.
About Les
Les Lindquist is a change consultant with 35 years’ experience at IBM who is now a partner with his wife N. J. in the publishing company That’s Life! Communications. Since leaving IBM in the spring of 2009, Les is also mapping out a new career as a consultant, writer and speaker. Les has played an instrumental role in The Word Guild since its inception, including serving as the sounding board and advisor for N. J. and Wendy in The Word Guild’s early years, becoming the treasurer, and being a board member from 2002 to 2012.
About Donna
Donna Mann is an author, columnist, blogger, adjunct professor (Trinity Theological College) and ordained minister. She has a passion for mission, and storytelling: both weave their way through award-winning fiction and non-fiction. Returning to school as an adult student, she earned a B.A. (UofW), M.Div. (Emmanuel College, UofT), D. Min in Women’s Studies, (TTC) and Counsellor/Mentor (Grief Institute of Canada). She and Doug have four adult children (one deceased), eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She has been a member of The Word Guild “forever.”

Janet Sketchley is an Atlantic Canadian writer who believes strongly in the importance of developing unity and community among Canadian Christians who work with words, coast to coast. She is a long-time member of The Word Guild and InScribe Christian Writer’s Fellowship. Janet’s Redemption’s Edge Christian suspense novels have each been finalists in The Word Awards, and she’s also a contributor to the Hot Apple Cider inspirational anthology series. Janet blogs about faith and books. She loves Jesus and her family, and enjoys reading, worship music, and tea.
