WHY NOT ENCOURAGE AN ASPIRING WRITER?

Experienced writers have a unique opportunity to inspire never-before-published writers by spreading the exciting news of the God Uses Ink Novice Writer's Contest.

The idea of submitting your writing for publication for the very first time can be daunting for novice writers. However, with the encouragement of an experienced writer, beginners may be more willing to take a risk. And what better place to cultivate and challenge a novice writer than at Canada's largest Christian writing conference, Write! Canada?

The Word Guild's "God Uses Ink" Novice Writing Contest provides the opportunity for a novice writer in each category to win free registration to Write! Canada
As a published writer, remember the thrill of first seeing your writing in print and encourage a novice writer to enter the contest today! You can instill confidence in unpublished writers – whether friends or relatives – by urging them to submit their work and take this opportunity to change their future.

Who will you encourage to enter?

All never-before-published Canadian writers who are Christian are invited to enter.
Contestants, aged fourteen and older, may write on any subject and in any genre, including short stories, poems, scripts, and nonfiction articles. Submissions may not exceed 1,500 words. Independent judges who are experienced writers and editors will evaluate the entries and provide helpful feedback.
For the purposes of this competition, "unpublished" means you have never been paid for something you have written.
Entries must be received by February 15, 2012.
