Write Canada 2019

Write Canada 2019 was held at Redeemer University College in Ancaster, ON.

Write Canada 2019 is an opportunity to meet with a community of other writers, to make friends, to be encouraged and motivated, to reflect on your own writing and, of course, to learn in the sessions.

Cyndi Desjardins Wilkens has overcome many obstacles, including infertility and a quadruple amputation. During her rehabilitation, she worked hard to recapture her relationship with her children and learn to walk, swim, and dance through life again. She has been interviewed by major television personalities, recognizing her strength in adversity. As a wife, mom, author, and speaker, Cyndi has a heart for sharing her story with transparency, bringing tears and laughter in the hopes of shining a light for others facing dark times. Cyndi resides in Ontario and has co-founded Shine On Missions, which is dedicated to assisting families in crisis.  Shine On, her first book, was the winner of the 2017 Women’s Journey of Faith Contest.

The conference will kick off Thursday evening, June 13, with a facilitated session to meet other writers — writers in your genre, writers in your area and other writers with similar goals and dreams.

Friday and Saturday will have a full slate of workshops.

Registrants will have an opportunity to attend our “black tie” Awards Gala celebration of Christian writers Friday evening at Carmen’s Banquet Hall, 15 minutes away, for a discounted $40 with Conference Purchase. Gala Tickets Purchased without Conference Tickets are $55 for TWG Members and $65 for Non-Members.

Student apartments at Redeemer University College with either 3 or 4 bedrooms will be available. Each bedroom has 2 single beds. Price for a shared bedroom will be $40 per night/ $60 per night if you choose to have a bedroom to yourself.

If you prefer to make your own arrangements, there are a number of hotels in the area, including one in the same complex as Carmen’s Banquet Hall.
